With my recent increase in training for my 10k runs I have coming up, I have come to understand the importance of pilates and yoga. My only regret is not starting either of these activities sooner!
There are so many people who are simply training for runs by running and doing very little else. If this sounds like you, you may be building on poor foundations. Those muscles are gonna need some bloody stretching!
All of these benefits can help aid your progression with running, and most importantly can seriously increase your chances of avoiding muscles injuries.
I have recently adopted both pilates and yoga in my weekly routine, so here is to hoping it continues to keep my muscles fighting fit for those long runs ahead!
