Having just completed another 20-mile run, I thought it was a great time to let the world know just how marathon training can feel. As I am sure you know or can assume, it is far from an easy ride, so here’s my ups and downs so far.
To follow up from my Mont Blanc race just the other week, Snowdon was next to be ticked off my bucket list and it did not disappoint! A 10-mile race getting you to the summit that stands at 3560ft. This was a beast of a run!
I have finally finished the busiest race period of 2016, completing 9 races in 20 days. Mont Blanc 10k was conquered, the tour of Tameside got smashed, the Rochdale tour has been battered and Offerton was taken care of. Tomorrow….Ninja Warrior audition in my banana outfit hahaha!
The weekend finally came! Possibly my biggest tick off the bucket list for this year so far, the Mont Blanc 10km race. Via Geneva, to Chamonix, France, this was a beautiful run but I did not love every bit of it because I felt like sh*t! Man cold! haha. Here is my full report of this stunning run.
The tour I had been waiting for was finally here…the awesome Tour of Tameside. An event that spans back many years with some rich history, now standing tall as a 4-day event comprising of a 10km, 6mile, 1/2 marathon and 7mile race. Here is my awesome journey of the 4 days.
The first tour event that I have taken part in was finally here! 3 days of 6 miles per day with a good mixture of road, trail and fell. This is where the year starts to get tough for me with the Tour of Tameside next week. What a warm up! Read my full report here.
June has been marked in my calendar as when things get pretty serious. I have 8 x 10 km events and 1 half marathon within the next 20 days, starting this evening. I will do a 3-day tour event, a 4-day tour event, a run at Mont Blanc & finally a 10km race locally. Then on 2nd July, I have my Ninja Warrior audition!
